Just a quick note on geo therm - so far we are very happy. We installed the geo therm last summer but first moved into our house in dec. The heating system has worked great the whole winter. It keeps the house at a constant comfortable temperature We have not used the air conditioning yet but if it works like the heat we will be very happy. It is very easy to run. Darren and Brian were great to deal with - explained what we needed to know and were at the end of a phone for any questions to be answered. I knew that I wanted an energy efficient way to heat my home and garage. Upon investigating several options I decided to use geothermal technology. To heat in the winter and to cool in the summer with relatively little power consumption was important. I spoke with Brian and Darren at Alf's Geothermal to discuss our options. They were very easy to talk to and helpful when I had questions. Since we moved in we have had -36 C weather with major wind chill on top. The coldest days we had more than adequate heat, in fact the system went in reverse to cool the house off. The heat is uniform and always constant. I recommend that if you are looking to heat/cool with this technology that you spend a few dollars more rather than a few dollars less, get a great system. Let Brian and Darren help you out and set up a great system. The Geothermal units not only work very well, they are a big asset that helps to keep our home value.

Geothermal passed one big test with temperatures reaching -40°C at the end of January. The house  was warm and comfortable. We are very pleased with Geothermal heating. It runs quiet, keeps the house at an even temperature. The heat pump fits right in where the old furnace was with very little duct work to do.

Darren Winczura and Brian Vitek did a super job in the installation of the premium G heat pump. They even waited until I was completely satisfied before the final billing came. They are knowledgeable in how the system works and took the time to explain it as well.

I would recommend Brian and Darren to anyone interested in a ground source heat pump.
