We are into our second winter using the Geo System. We are more than pleased and happy that we decided to go this way. We had heard about GeoThermal Heating/Cooling and knew nothing about it, after attending an open house put on by Alf's GeoThermal at an acreage just out of Lloydminster, we were totally convinced this was the way to go. They installed the system into out new acreage site just out of Lloydminster. Brian and Darren were very helpful and informative in explaining the system and keeping in touch with us just to make sure we had no questions or concerns and all was going well. They are easy to deal with and are down to earth guys that care about they're product and the people they are doing business with. We would recommend Alf's GeoThermal to anyone who is considering putting it in. It did cost a little more putting it in than natural gas but, hey, in the long run I HAVE NO GAS BILL EACH MONTH, and my house is a comfortable even heat at all times, and stays cool in the summer months. We also put the floor heat in the basement, during construction, that was all we had running and it supplied more than enough heat in here for the constructions workers. We also went a little different with the fresh air vents, instead of installing at floor level we installed at the top of the wall where heat rises - near the roof, putting warm air into the unit instead of cold air.

We have had so many people ask us about the system since we put it in and the answer is always the same - I would do it again! If you are thinking about going the GeoThermal way, we recommend Alf's GeoThermal

Our "get away" - a comfortable family retreat close to the recreational opportunities wanted - required many building decisions.

Just a quick note on geo therm - so far we are very happy. We installed the geo therm last summer but first moved into our house in dec. The heating system has worked great the whole winter. It keeps the house at a constant comfortable temperature We have not used the air conditioning yet but if it works like the heat we will be very happy. It is very easy to run. Darren and Brian were great to deal with - explained what we needed to know and were at the end of a phone for any questions to be answered. I knew that I wanted an energy efficient way to heat my home and garage. Upon investigating several options I decided to use geothermal technology. To heat in the winter and to cool in the summer with relatively little power consumption was important. I spoke with Brian and Darren at Alf's Geothermal to discuss our options. They were very easy to talk to and helpful when I had questions. Since we moved in we have had -36 C weather with major wind chill on top. The coldest days we had more than adequate heat, in fact the system went in reverse to cool the house off. The heat is uniform and always constant. I recommend that if you are looking to heat/cool with this technology that you spend a few dollars more rather than a few dollars less, get a great system. Let Brian and Darren help you out and set up a great system. The Geothermal units not only work very well, they are a big asset that helps to keep our home value.

Geothermal passed one big test with temperatures reaching -40°C at the end of January. The house  was warm and comfortable. We are very pleased with Geothermal heating. It runs quiet, keeps the house at an even temperature. The heat pump fits right in where the old furnace was with very little duct work to do.

Darren Winczura and Brian Vitek did a super job in the installation of the premium G heat pump. They even waited until I was completely satisfied before the final billing came. They are knowledgeable in how the system works and took the time to explain it as well.

I would recommend Brian and Darren to anyone interested in a ground source heat pump.
